  introduction
The MultiScale Flows Research Group at the University of Strathclyde focuses on flows in which the granular or molecular nature of the fluid determines its complex behaviour. These flows are critical to some important emerging technologies; in particular, our research is on simulating high-speed, high-altitude (aerodynamics) and flows in micro and nanoscale devices (micro droplet technology, gas microflows, interfacial dynamics and nanoliquidics).
